Reflection:

Here we are, we’ve finally made it! This evening with Vigil Masses we will enter into Holy Week.

We’ve been preparing all throughout Lent, and now thw big moment is finally upon us. Today’s readings help us to get ready by reminding us that while it has been great to engage in different Lenten practices, they are meant to lead us closer to the Paschal Mystery, which we will celebrate this week.

There is a question asked about Jesus in the Gospel that we could easily ask of ourselves,

“What do you think? That he will not come to the feast?”

Can we see this question as an invitation to participate more fully in the coming days?

This coming Thursday through Saturday the Church celebrates the Triduum. The most important liturgy of the year. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend, so, will you come to the feast?
